The EDIT Platform for Cybertaxonomy "Community Installation" is a software suite supporting collaborative work on a common taxonomic data store. It consist of a single networked database installation as well as per user installations of the TaxEditor. In contrast to the Individual Installation scheme, the Community Installation comes with a World Wide Web portal which is used to publish the taxonomic data online. The portal's design is highly configurable and can be adapted to the particular needs of a given taxonomic project.

Requirements
The Community Installation needs some support of a system administration. In particular the setup of the EDIT Data Portal as well as the common data store typically requires administrator access rights to a web server and a database server. Please contact you system administrator for installation support.
